The Fall Starter Guide: Men's Edition

Thursday, October 29, 2015

I have to start this post off by saying that you should in no way take this too seriously. Out of the two of us, Anthie is by far the better dresser. I am the lazier one and now that I'm working at home, it's ten times worse.

I'm a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl out of necessity more than anything. It makes it easy for me to dress it up for a client meeting in a coffee shop and still be able to run over to the farm later in the afternoon and roll around in the dirt if I have to. What I'm trying to get at is that even though this post is geared towards guys, I can tell you I have pretty much own this outfit ten times over and it allows me to be casual as possible.

ANYWAYS.

I sometimes buy my brothers clothes (secret's out, sorry!) and usually it ends up being flannel flannel flannel because it just fits with what we do. I had a friend a few weeks back ask me where said shirts kept coming from because he really liked them (gold star for me, yay!).

So I started to do a roundup of different button up shirts meant for work or the outdoors when I ran into a hilarious post on r/malefashionadvice on reddit (hi!). The gist of it is that next week they plan on doing an outfit based on Pumpkin Spice Lattes - confused? Well the whole idea is that PSLs are associated with basic-ness* and that there has to be a boy equivalent of the basic girl, the basic bro.
This caused a lightbulb to go off in my head because a) I dress like this, and b) Autumn in Edmonton (especially on campus) is the place for this outfit.

So without further ado, gentlemen grab your Red Wing Boots and micro brews, and gather yourselves around the warmth emanating from the screen of your MacBook Pros for a super quick fall clothing round up.
