My boyfriend Sam and are heading off to the mountains this week and thought we'd show you what our travel essentials are! Also just so we're clear, this is just our side bags for the road trip down, not our duffle bags. Those are literally jam packed with clothes as we without fail, over pack every single time we go away and we don't want to embarrass our selves.

Laptop - I only have this in my side bag solely for the reason I don't trust it's not going to get crushed
by our bags in the trunk. Possibly a sign of over packing? Maybe. 

Notebook - This is where I keep my list of things I need to get done, my calendar for the week and a place I can jot down any blog ideas I have.

Snacks - Obviously a no brainer. You'll always find snacks in my bags regardless of where I am going!

Scrunchie - When you're hair is nine time out of 10 out of control, having a back up hair scrunchie is so necessary.

Coloring Book & Markers - This helps pass the time for the longer trips when I'm not driving.

Makeup Bag - My makeup is always with me when I am traveling just in case I need a quick touch up, need some much needed lip balm or there's no chance to stop and get ready before heading somewhere.

My Travel Bag - This bag is my life. I use it as my everyday purse, gym bag, lunch bag, and most conveniently as my travel bag! It's a giant sack with no pockets or zippers so I can literally toss everything into it and be on my way.

Ball Cap - The surefire way to get satisfying bro nods from others reppin' your squad's cap... plus you look like Tom Cruise.

Sunglasses - One look into these hazel beauties and you'd be lost for days, gotta cover 'em up!

Record(s) - I swear I'm not a record snob... (but if you buy new records, that's so pedestrian... just wait 30 years and it'll be $2 in the used bin)

Lip Chap & Pepto - Because it's not only lips that get chapped...

Swell Bottle - This damn thing gets more compliments than my outfits. Keeps your H2O chilled and your coffee hot.

AUX Cord, Ear Phones & Other Cables - Be your own aux cord DJ. Be like Kanye at MSG.

Pokemon Game - MyBoy Gameboy Emulator + Pokemon Fire Red = hours of 8-bit, poke-tainment
