Product Round Up of 2015

Thursday, December 31, 2015

With 2015 coming to an end tonight, I thought it'd be most fitting to do a product round up of some of mine & Pam's top products we have been obsessing over! After reading so many other blogs, watching endless hours of Youtube videos and chatting with friends who are in love with certain products, we couldn't help but go out and try these products for ourselves!

1. Make Up Forever Artist Shadows 1 Palette: This nude themed palette comes with 9 beautiful gel shadows that are arranged in trios to making the perfect nude eye combinations. Gel shadows are a new thing to me and I have to say I love them. The pigmentation is outstanding and blending is so effortless. I can honestly say that there's never been a shadow palette I've loved more.

These are two products that I have recently added into my hair routine and will not be switching out anytime soon! Having such long hair, my ends tend to get so dry and ratty looking no matter how often I get it cut. Being able to put in a product overnight that feels like it is barely there and wash it out in the morning getting the silkiest hair is a dream come true, and for the hair oil, this keeps my hair unbelievably hydrated, so soft and looking healthy throughout the day.

These are two holy grail powders I would recommend repeatedly to anyone who was looking for a powder. The amount of times I reach for a powder is extreme. Besides powdering my face and touching up my mid day makeup, I love using powders to keep my lipstick in place. Taking a flat eye shadow brush, pat some powder on the outline of your lips where the lipstick and skin meet and then lightly dust some more onto the entire lip. I find this seals in the colour (especially darker lipsticks) preventing any feathering and bleeding while also turning it into a longwearing lipstick! Anything that makes wearing lipstick easier, I'm all for it.
4. Origins Zero Oil Deep Pore Cleanser: Even though this is a newer product to my skin care regime, I can without a doubt say it has become my go-to face wash. Every time I use it, I feel like it actually provides a deep clean without stripping my skin of its natural oils and never leaves your skin feeling dry. With this product as well, a little goes a long way!
5. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz: This is one of those products you read about everywhere, hear everyone talking about and are left wondering if it's actually worth the hype or not. Well. we're here to tell you that it 100% is. This retractable fine tip pencil has the perfect texture with the most amazing staying power and as a bonus, comes with an amazing spoolie! Your brow game will be next level, to be honest.

6Lime Crime Velvetine Liquid Matte Lipstick: I have been religiously wearing this lip for 2 months and am constantly blown away with it's staying power, pigmentation and formula. Bleached and Riot are the two I have been rotating between. Their finish is velvet matte and dries within seconds of applying. I love adding a red lip liner underneath to add a bit more depth of color. As far as formula goes, it is a true matte finish so don't be expecting anything hydrating.

7. Bioderma Miceller Water: This is honestly the saving grace of all makeup removers. Pam and I both agree that after using this product, there is still no other makeup remover we would grab for. It is great for all skin types, especially those with sensitive skin, and takes off every last bit of makeup leaving your face feeling so clean and hydrated!

8. Bumble and Bumble Pret -a -Powder: This is the only dry shampoo ever, where I have used up the entire bottle. It's honestly life changing. Pret-a-Powder is a 2-in-1 product acting both as a dry shampoo and volumizing powder! I love it because it's so finely milled you don't end up with white residue on your roots and it actually absorbs the grease in your hair while giving it a bit more oomph and life. I honestly cannot recommend this product enough to anyone who like myself, finds it impossible to find an hour or more washing your hair every few days! Just sprinkle it in the areas where you feel it's needed, give it a quick rub in and you're on your way.

9. Saje Diffuser Blend Essential Oils: Although this doesn't fall under beauty/hair related products, I couldn't not have it in here because I am that obsessed with these gems. These pure essential oils are used in a nebulizer, which is the most relaxing contraption I've ever come across. It diffuses a very light steam that is scented with these essential oils making any room/house smell like a dream. Refresh is hands down my favourite scent- just a super light peppermint smell.
10. Kiehl's Ultra Face Cream:This is Pam's go-to face cream no matter what. Its super light weight formula is perfect for literally any time of day! It leaves your face feeling so hydrated and it actually absorbs into the skin unlike so many other moisturizers. For our dry and cold winter months, this is an easy 'toss in the bag' product you'll learn not to leave the house without.
