Wooden Mod Podge Frames

Welcome to day two of our DIY gift series!
One of the best crafting materials ever made is Mod Podge glue. If you have no clue what I'm talking about a) you're missing out, and b) I'm questioning your life choices pretty heavily. Today we're talking DIY Mod Podge wooden frames, it doesn't get much better than that! These frames have got to be one of the easiest and most personal DIY gifts out there, and one that I resort to year round. All you're going to need is a wooden frame, Mod Podge, a paint brush and old magazines. So simple!

Here's the how-to!
Step One- Decide what you want the theme of the frame to be and cut out the best photos, letters, words etc from magazines! I always use House & Home, Bon Appetite, Teen Vogue and even Archie comics. For the frame I made, I wanted to use a bit of lose glitter as well to add a little festive detail, but it's totally up to you on how the finished product looks! Don't be afraid to be creative.
Step Two- Pick the type of Mod Podge. My go-to's are always the matte, glossy and glitter finish. For my frame, I used the glossy finish, but pick your favourite and craft away.

Step Three- Plan out what you want the frame to look like before you start glueing everything down!

Step Four- It's glue time! Spot some glue onto the back of the piece of paper/item you are gluing down, place it on the frame and smooth it out with our fingers. If there is glue coming out the sides, just use your paint brush to smooth this out!

Step Five-  Once you've got everything glued down, paint a thin layer over the entire frame to make sure there's an even coat and then put aside to dry!
Some tips & tricks:
- Use a decent sized brush so you're not wasting your time
- Don't be afraid to glob on the glue. You'll want to put glue under, on and over whatever you're glueing
- Give each layer a solid 10 minutes to dry
- Try to avoid getting this on your clothes, it takes more effort than it's worth to get out
- If you're not into frames, use a vase or plastic laptop case instead!
