Simple Christmas decorations

Here we are at day three of our DIY gift series!

Today we're taking simple clear ornaments and filling them with  loose glitter. I got the idea from the H&M window display and couldn't help but think we could make these ourselves!

You're first going to need to get some clear ornaments. I went to Michaels and picked up 6 of the medium sized balls. Make sure they have the silver tops to them so you're able to pop it off to put glitter inside! While you're scouting out the glorious isles of the craft store, and don't kid yourself, it's going to happen, pick up some loose glitter! For the glitter, the bigger the glitter the better it will look. The super fine glitter holds a lot of static and won't have the same effect.

First things first, carefully take the silver tops off of the ornaments and put them aside. I used a funnel for the next part, but a piece of paper rolled into a cone shape will work just as well. Place the funnel into the opening of the ornament and begin to pour in the glitter. The amount of glitter you decide to pour totally depends on how flashy and sparkly you want your decorations to be!
Once you're happy with the glitter, pop the silver tops back on to the ornament. Now there are a few options here- you can either tie a ribbon through the top loop and call it a day, or you can give it a bit of a shake and coat the entire inside with the loose glitter. I left a few and shook a few just to have a good variety.
This is honestly probably one of the simplest crafts I've come across in a while, but the final product is just so beautiful. Take two or four of the finished ornaments, place them in a box with some tissue and gift away!
